    Product Overview

    The Electromagnetic Flowmeter is primarily used to measure the volumetric flow rate of conductive liquids or liquid-solid two-phase fluids in continuous or intermittent flows through closed pipelines. Its measurement accuracy is not affected by changes in the temperature, density, viscosity, and conductivity (5us/cm) of the measured medium. By selecting appropriate electrode and lining materials, it can measure the flow rate of various corrosive liquids and highly abrasive slurries. This product is widely used in the fields of petroleum, chemical engineering, metallurgy, light textile industry, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, power, and environmental protection.

    Working Principle

    The measurement principle is based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction (see figure).

    An alternating external magnetic field is set up on the outside of the measuring tube of the sensor, and a pair of electrodes are installed on both sides perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic flux lines. When the conductive medium flows through the measuring tube and cuts across the magnetic flux lines, an induced electromotive force (emf) E is generated in the electrodes. The induced emf E has the following relationship:

    E is the induced electromotive force (emf),

    K is the instrument constant,

    B is the magnetic flux density.
