Normally, if the bimetal thermometer or thermocouple is installed in different positions, their installation requirements are also different. Let's take a look at some common situations.

The bimetal thermometer generally used for on-site instructions should be installed at a height of about 1.2~1.5m. If it is higher than 2.0m, it should be designed as a vertical ladder movable platform, and in order to facilitate inspection and maintenance, the minimum distance from the platform is not less than 300mm. For process pipelines with branches, when installing thermometers or thermocouples, pay special attention to the installation position in line with the process flow, and cannot be installed in the dead corner or cecum of the process pipeline.

General thermometers and thermocouples should be installed on straight pipes. The minimum pipe diameters required for installation are as follows;

1. Industrial mercury thermometer, DN50;

2. Pressure thermometer, DN150;

3. The length of the expanded diameter pipe should not be less than 250mm
